we bought a throw blanket

This kept her warm at altitude. But it was a boring blanket, and since we are creative artists, we thought we could do better and make our own aviation design on a blanket. We did. Then a few other pilots asked for one, and a few more. Then we decided we would launch a store where we could combine our love of aviation and create custom sky snugglers (aka, throw blankets) for everyone who likes cozy, comfy, snuggly, well-made blankets. Then we expanded to include pillows because you simply HAVE to have a matching pillow to your blanket. Then we added premium socks because they're amazingly comfy too.

The story behind the name

Once upon a time there was a fireball of a puppy born in the frigid Artic north of Minnesota who made her way down to Texas to bask in our abundant sunshine. This little pup was a friendly little lab who loved to bark a lot. She really had a lot to say about life, flowers, butterflies, bumpers, retrieving, cats, people, invisible things - you name it, she would bark at it. During one of her "conversations" while we were working on digital art and trying to talk on the phone, somehow we strung together bark and pixel and we became Barking Pixel, a creative design and photo retouching studio in Texas with an online aviation-themed merchandise store.
